Special Accommodation clinics offer additional supports for children and their families. For example: private immunization spaces in a sensory-friendly clinic (e.g., reduced noise and lighting) offer longer appointment times, plenty of toys for distraction and caring therapists and volunteers to support the needs of each child. Children attending these clinics may also bring a comforting toy or stuffy with them.

Capacity at these special accommodation clinics is limited.

If you require support in changing an appointment, contact Public Health at 519-575-4400 or email phecovidimms@regionofwaterloo.ca.

Note: All vaccine-related questions must be directed to the experts at Region of Waterloo Public Health

Parents, caregivers, and other household family members who are eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccines (e.g., first, second or booster doses) are welcome to book their vaccinations during this time as well.
