Linda Kenny, our CEO, has informed the Board of her plans to retire and that October 13, 2023 will be her last day at KidsAbility.
After more than 10 years at the helm and under Linda’s strong leadership, we have seen tremendous growth and development at KidsAbility as a result of her deep dedication to family centred care and strong advocacy for our sector. The number of children we serve has increased from 5,300 children to over 17,000, our staff have tripled and our budget has much more than doubled.
In leading our organization through this growth she has strengthened the partnerships with our community and the province and successfully navigated the challenges of COVID and significant changes to autism funding.
Our Board is now actively engaged in the process of recruiting Linda’s successor and the position will soon be posted. During the transition we will also be announcing an interim CEO while searching for our new CEO.
We are confident as we move into the next chapter that with the commitment of the Board, an experienced and capable leadership team and dedicated staff we are poised for success today and in the future as we uphold the standards of excellence that define our organization in serving our children and their families.
