We are thrilled to congratulate Elizabeth Witmer, Chair of the KidsAbility Centre for Child Development Board, on her appointment to the 2022 Order of Ontario, the province’s most distinguished honour and a testament to her life’s work.
Elizabeth’s outstanding dedication, achievements and lifetime of service have made a profound difference for all children, youth and families locally and provincially.
An early trailblazer as the first woman elected MPP for Waterloo North and later Kitchener-Waterloo, her significant contributions earned her a series of esteemed accolades, underlining her impact and dedication to the community.
Additionally, she served provincially as Minister of Labour, Health and Environment, then as Minister of Education, and Deputy Premier, resulting in multiple outstanding achievements and contributions economically, socially, and politically for Ontarians.
