What is ABA?
KidsAbility™ Centre for Child Development is pleased to offer this parent/ community involvement opportunity through their Autism and Behavioural Support Services Program!
- What is ABA?
- Is your child on the Autism Spectrum?
- Are you interested in learning the fundamentals of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)?
In this workshop, we cover the basic principles of ABA and review the A-B-C’s of behaviour. We will discuss the different functions of behaviour and how the use of antecedent strategies, positive reinforcement, replacement behaviours and extinction can help to reduce challenging behaviours and teach your child new skills.
We look forward to building and learning with you to increase you and your child’s success!
This free workshop will run on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 from 6pm-7:30pm at KidsAbility's Waterloo site.
Is there childcare available?
Childcare will not be available for this event.
I am a community member. Can I attend?
Absolutely! We understand the importance of creating a learning environment for families as well as their support networks. Past attendees have included daycare and school staff, grandparents, and professionals hoping to learn more.
