EVENT DETAILS:
Junior (AM) Engineering Science Quest - July 11-22
This intermediate social skills group is a collaboration with University of
Waterloo’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) curriculum.
Experienced instructor therapists will support your child in generalizing
previous goals learned in our Behaviour Support Services groups, such as
problem solving, flexibility, conversation skills, and whole body listening.
Your child will be able to explore the fields of STEM through fun, hands-on
activities with Engineering Science Quest leaders. Your child will have the opportunity
to build physical solutions to everyday problems while learning and applying
concepts in physics, computer coding, engineering, and life sciences. The group is scheduled to run July 11-15 and July 18-22 as a two-week block.
Families
will receive a summary of recommendations outlining the strategies developed
through each week of group to continue to apply your learning in other
settings. By registering for this group, you are committing to attending all
session dates. Registrants must be approved by the Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) providing clinical oversight to the group.
