EVENT DETAILS:
Flexible Play - Waterloo - BSS Social Skills Group
In
the Flexible Play group, our experienced therapists will create a safe and fun
environment where children will learn to play pretend with others through the
support of play scripts. Children will learn to role-play and to take
turns playing different roles. Children will learn to be “flexible” with
friends, compromise, and continue to play along as friends take the lead in their
own role. Children will learn how to handle when a friend plays in a way
that was not expected. Using flexible thinking strategies, they will
generate new ways to solve problems, adapt to changes in play and adjust to the
unexpected.
To improve flexibility and emotional regulation
skills through:
- Behaviour Skills
Training on topics (instruction, modelling, rehearsal and feedback)
