Community Fundraising Events In Support of KidsAbility

Thank you to everyone in our community who has supported KidsAbility Foundation through our community engagement events and initiatives. We are re-imagining new ways to partner with individuals and groups in our community as well as bring our KidsAbility events to you in a safe and engaging way during the current COVID-19 circumstances. 

What's Happening Now:

  • September 1 – 30, 2020: Lowe’s Canada Heroes campaign – Kitchener location

It’s official! KidsAbility Foundation is Lowe’s chosen local hero charity by our community friends at Lowe’s Kitchener during the Lowe’s Canada Heroes campaign for the month of September.

Be a local hero with us!
Lowe’s Kitchener - 730 Ottawa St. South location is offering the chance to give to the Lowe’s Canada Heroes campaign with tag of $2, $5, or $10 in-store. The store has set a goal to exceed last year’s total of $12,000 with 100% of all donations received at this location to benefit children and youth served by KidsAbility. 

Once total donations are calculated from the Lowe’s Kitchener location, Lowe's Canada will present KidsAbility Foundation with an additional amount equal to 50% of the funds raised, up to $2,000 per store.

  • September 10, 2020 | ongoing: Rotary of KW - Catch the Ace Lottery

    Presenting Catch the Ace – Rotary of KW’s all new lottery beginning September 10 with a chance to win weekly draws and a progressive jackpot!

    Proudly founded and supported by Rotarians since 1957, KidsAbility is grateful to be named a beneficiary of net proceeds, alongside St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation and Grand River Hospital Foundation.

KidsAbility Foundation appreciates the generous support it continues to receive from the community to help children and youth with special needs. Community Fundraising Events and Activities organized by individuals and companies provide significant funding for core therapy services each year.

Hosting an event or activity in support of KidsAbility can be a great way to help make a difference for our children and youth, and a lot of fun in the process. Whatever your event or activity is, we are here to assist and have developed some Guidelines, Steps to Success, Top 20 Fundraising Ideas and more in our Community Fundraising Event and Activities Guidebook to help get you started!

Your support is appreciated and we look forward to assisting you to help make your event or activity a success. Once you have decided which type of event or activity you would like to host, it is important to complete a proposal form that can be found within the Community Fundraising Events and Activities Guidebook. For a Community Fundraising Event or Activity, please complete the Event Proposal and Terms & Conditions form. For a Cause-Related Marketing Event or Initiative, please complete the Cause-Related Marketing Proposal and License Agreement.
