Gift of Life Insurance

You can make a gift of life insurance to KidsAbility?

A gift of life insurance to KidsAbility Foundation lets you leave a legacy while supporting the future of children and families in your community. With your donation, you turn small monthly premiums into a significant gift to help children and youth achieve great things.

Your gift of life insurance will benefit you, too!

  • You’ll receive no administration costs or probate fees. The insurance benefit is separate from your estate and will eventually be paid directly to KidsAbility Foundation.
  • Your gift has no effect or impact on your estate’s assets.
  • You’ll receive a charitable tax receipt that can be used in your lifetime, or defer the tax receipt toward your estate.
There are many ways to donate life insurance. Find one that is right for you.
  1. Name KidsAbility Foundation as the beneficiary of a policy. Your estate receives a tax receipt for the proceeds of the policy.
  2. Transfer ownership of a paid-up policy with KidsAbility Foundation named as the beneficiary. You can receive a current tax receipt for the fair market value of the policy or defer the tax receipt for your estate.
  3. Transfer ownership of a partially paid-up policy with KidsAbility Foundation named as the beneficiary. You will get a tax receipt for the fair market value of the policy and annual tax receipts for your ongoing premium payments.
  4. Take out a new policy with KidsAbility Foundation as the owner and beneficiary, and receive annual tax receipts for your ongoing premium payments.

To make a gift of life insurance, contact your insurance provider to transfer ownership of a policy, create a new policy, or change the policy beneficiary to KidsAbility Foundation.
