KidsAbility is pleased to offer Music Therapy with Accredited Music Therapist as a Purchase Service option open to all ages.
Participation in a music program can facilitate and develop:
- Attention span
- Listening skills and cooperation
- Social skills, sense of accomplishment and belonging
- Confidence and self-esteem while reducing anxiety
- Verbal and non-verbal communication
- Self-expression and creativity
- Emotional awareness
- Motor skills and coordination
One to One Music Therapy Sessions:
Music Therapists offer individualized music therapy services. Each 30 minute
session is customized to your child's strengths, challenges, and treatment
goals. Speech, Behavioural, Emotional, and Psychological goals can be
addressed through a large variety of treatment interventions such as active
listening, improvisation, songwriting, singing and instrument playing.
Music Therapy appointments are offered in person at the Cambridge
Note: Some benefit plans may cover Music Therapy Services. It is the responsibility of the family to determine whether Music Therapy expenses are covered by benefit plans, OAP, SSAH or other funding sources.
Appointments are Available at the following Locations:
Mondays - 30 minute sessions available between 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (see dates/times below)
