Playtime Academy

Please note due to the ongoing and changing environment surrounding COVID-19 all of our Recreation and Social Programs are currently on hold.

Playtime Academy is a  fun and engaging group for children who require additional support with learning to interact and play appropriately with their peers. Each lesson will be broken down and taught using interactive activities, modelling, and role playing. Your child will have many opportunities to participate in fun games designed to promote skill competencies.

  • Turn-taking
  • Focusing and listening
  • Personal space
  • Sharing/Feelings
  • Asking friends to play

Playtime Academy Junior (Ages 3-7)

For children with emerging social skills; some areas of focus will include turn taking, sharing and early play skills.

The next Playtime Academy Junior group will be:

Where: 500 Hallmark Drive, Waterloo

When: Wednesdays, January 12-March 23, 2022, no program March 16 (10 weeks)

Time: 5:30-6:45pm

Playtime Academy Intermediate (Ages 4-7)

For children with intermediate social skills; some areas of focus will include role-playing, repetition, interactive lessons and practice within a structured setting.

The next Playtime Academy Intermediate will be:

Where: 500 Hallmark Drive, Waterloo

When: Wednesdays, January 12-March 23, 2022, no program March 16 (10 weeks)

Time: 6:00-7:15pm

Cost: $450.00
